Latest Change in the pattern of IBPS exmas
(A) Quantitative Aptitude subject has been renamed as Data Interpretation and Analysis.
(B) Computer Awareness has been renamed as Computer Aptitude and has been clubbed with Reasoning Ability Section.
(C) In Mains exam English Descriptive paper has been introduced to assess writing skills of the candidates. There will be two questions, Letter writing and Essay for 25 marks and for 30 minutes duration.
(D) Mains Exam will have total 157 questions instead of 200 questions.
(E) Duration for mains exam paper along with English Descriptive Paper has been increased to 3 hours and 30 minutes.

IBPS PO 2020 has 3 three major stages- Preliminary exam, Main exam, and an Interview Round.
In Prelims exam there are 100 multiple choice questions from the Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language.
In Main Exam there are 155 + 2 = 157 objective questions on Data Interpretation & Analysis, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy & Banking Awareness and English Language.
The main Exam also consists of a descriptive paper having 2 questions on Letter and Essay writing.
Candidates who qualify prelims, appear in the main exam and similarly in interview round.

Both the Prelims and Main Exams will be conducted online by the authority. Also, the applicants will have to attend the English language test which includes letter writing an essay as a part of the main exam. SBI PO Syllabus 2020 for Prelims: SBI PO prelims exam 2020 comprised 100 objective type questions for 100 marks that test the candidates' proficiency in English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability sections. SBI PO mains exam has an objective test for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. Syllabus of SBI PO mains exam consists of 4 sections – Reasoning + Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation and General/Economy/Banking Awareness.
Furthermore, the SBI PO mains exam has a descriptive test of one letter writing and one essay. Candidates need to score passing marks for qualifying the mains exam.
After qualifying the mains exam, an interview and group discussion round will be conducted by the state bank of India. The final selection will be done based on marks of the candidate in the main exam as well as the Interview.

SBI PO preliminary exam contains various sub-sections such as English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning to test the abilities required for the exam. The duration of the exam is 1 hour and has a total of 100 questions bifurcated into sub-sections for 100 marks.

The candidates will be selected for the SBI PO mains exam in the ratio of 1:10. The biggest surprise is There is no sectional cut off marks in both the prelims and mains exams. on the other hand, the candidates will be given 20 minutes to attempt each section in the preliminary exam.
The test is completely online, thus it would be great if the candidate is well versed with online test procedures. All the candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam would be allowed to sit for the main exam.

Thus the test overall has 155 questions with a total of 200 questions and 180 minutes of total duration.
Descriptive Test: This test is conducted to test the command of the candidate for the English language. To test this the candidate will be provided with two questions on letter and essay writing. There is no negative marking in the descriptive test.
SBI PO has both the preliminary as well as the main exam, and the range of topics is very high. There is a slight difference in the topics for both the preliminary and main exam.
